ILLUMINATE is a collaboration between AZIZA/PE&CE, an award winning fiscally sponsored organization committed to marginalized youth (specifically young women and LGBTQ+ youth), and IDEAL, a national non-profit working to change the way students think about politics and interact with each other. ILLUMINATE takes place daily during and after-school at three preferred Baltimore City High Schools: Forest Park, Frederick Douglass, and Edmondson Westside High Schools. After-school programming will take place in Druid Heights Community Center and a location TBD in the Station North Arts area. Supporting marginalized, underrepresented, at-promise youth in Baltimore City High Schools, this multifaceted, nine-month curriculum unfolds in progressive stages, and addresses student-specific concerns with a three tiered model.
